TESS PERKINSON

Fallon Park, acrylic paint
This is a piece depicting my sister, me, and our childhood dog in acrylic paint. The setting is Fallon Park, which is a beautiful park that was in walking distance from my childhood home. This is a very special piece because it is meant to make the viewer recall a special memory from their own childhood.

The Stairs, charcoal, pencil
This drawing depicts an old man with a cat set on a New York city inspired stoop in pencil. The stark background was created using charcoal. While attending North Carolina's Governor School West, I created this drawing based on my definition of drawing: "a human-made mark-making created with a tool that is dry or dries quickly."

Junior Year, photography
This is a photo that I created to represent the feeling of all the stressors that come with junior year. This piece is the winner of a Gold Key Award for the Scholastic Art Competition.
